This pendant is inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead, where dead relatives are remembered with colourfully painted skulls. The festival is one of celebration reminding us not to fear death but simply acknowledge it as a transition to the next life. The designs on this pendant are somewhat Maori inspired but also utilise the filigree patterns prevalent in the Balinese culture.
